THE PROJECT

About the Project

This homeowner lives in wind-swept Balzac, Alberta. They needed Tayo Construction to come up with ideas to offset the winds and allow them to have a useable patio/fire pit. Four-foot cement walls were constructed at angles to deflect passing winds. Exposed aggregate in hazelnut colour was selected to blend in with the surrounding colours and textures. Planter boxes were added to bring in touches of nature with flowers and greenery. Symmetrical inlays of stamped cement with dark releases divide and frame spaces to add more interest to the overall layout.
